My Chick-y Footprints

May days…

It’s been quite a wet month…

There’s a saying in French, “En avril, ne te découvre pas d’un fils; en mai, fais ce qu’il te plaît“. It literally means in April, don’t shred a single thread; in May, do as you please. It is to say that it showers in April and shines in May. Much to my dismay, I’m experiencing exactly the opposite of this phrase. It’s been an unusual year. There were more snow during winter, it has been raining in May much more than in April.

Of course, you can’t compare the volume of rain here with that in Malaysia. In Malaysia, you can feel the angry beatings of rain on you, whereas here, it’s comparatively lighter. But still annoying when you want to get out.

Well, it’s also a month with plenty of holidays! We just had a quite a long break last week – days off from Wednesday till the weekend and again another holiday today.

Here’s something to cheer you up (ok, maybe it’s more for me; it’s been raining the entire day)
